Blue Morning is a historical BL manga about the complex, slow-burn relationship between young aristocrat Akihito Kuze, who inherits his family's title, and his stern, devoted family butler, Tomoyuki Katsuragi, who becomes his caretaker and tutor, exploring themes of duty, desire, and hidden pasts within early 20th-century Japan's high society, as Akihito grows to love Katsuragi despite the distance Katsuragi maintains.
It's a story about forbidden love, duty versus desire, and a young lord's quest to understand the heart of his devoted, yet emotionally closed-off, butler set within the historical Meiji and Taisho eras.
